Capital Music Awards 2025

The 6th annual Capital Music Awards are making their National Arts Centre debut! Awards will be given at Southam Hall on May 22, 2025.

Since 2020, the Capital Music Awards have recognized outstanding achievements in Ottawa’s music industry, celebrating musicians, live music curators, music educators, sound engineers, music venues and more.

Produced and presented by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition (OMIC), the annual awards highlight the diverse talent and vibrant music community of the National Capital Region, acting as a stepping stone for local artists towards accolades such as the Junos, as well as a platform for networking and collaboration within the music sector as Ottawa’s largest music industry gathering.

THE 2025 CAPITAL MUSIC AWARDS NOMINEES HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED!

Of the 13 CMA categories, 5 are determined by public vote. These are: Music Educator of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, and Video of the Year.

All winners will be announced on May 22nd, 2025 at the Capital Music Awards ceremony.

Voting is now open until February 14th, 2025 at 5 pm ET. Only 1 vote per email address will be accepted.
