The Korean Cultural Centre Canada (KCC) is a government institution established in September 2016. Its mandate is to enhance Korea-Canada relations by promoting mutual understanding between Koreans and Canadians by sharing Korean culture and fostering bilateral cooperation between arts and cultural institutions.
The KCC aims to connect with Canadians by hosting and supporting a variety of cultural activities including exhibitions, performances, film screenings, festivals, cultural and language classes, as well as outreach programs. To achieve this, the KCC aims to collaborate with various arts and cultural institutions and communities across Canada, offering Canadians memorable experiences of Korean culture.
Located in Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, the KCC is conveniently accessible to the public. It occupies a prime space in a prominent downtown area, with neighbouring institutions such as the Canada Council for the Arts and Ottawa Tourism. The KCC is well-positioned for the future development of Korea-Canada cultural cooperation, with its close proximity to Canada’s political centres and cultural institutions, such as the Parliament of Canada and Ottawa City Hall, as well as the National Arts Centre and the National Gallery of Canada.
